Inglenook shunting puzzle…

One of those, “Where has the time gone?” moments. While rearranging things in the train room, I realized that I had not looked into my shunting puzzle’s packing case to see if it survived the move, a move that happened almost a year ago…yikes. Thanks to my beloved’s design, the layout survived just fine, losing only the steeple to the church to the many jolts it took along the way. The other buildings are still packed in their places and are just fine. I don’t know that this will be a permanent home but it still works for the time being…

I’m sorry to hear that your congregation is failing. It is sad to note that, nationwide, both the Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Mormons get a sizable number of their converts from the Southern Baptist church. Having been brought up in the SBC, I believe it has everything to do with the denomination’s teaching of the Letter of the Law vs. the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. Our salvation started when we surrendered at the Cross of Christ and continues as we remain at the Cross in Christ. When I was invited out the door of my last church for questioning the validity of a popular teaching privately with the pastor, I knew my life would never be the same. It’s taken 10 years for the simplicity of the work of the Cross to take hold, but I, my family and the congregation we are a part of (SBC btw) now grow in the grace and knowledge of our Great Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ like never before.

May the Lord Jesus Christ bless and keep you and yours as you continue to abide in Him and in His Word and the Liberty He purchased for you with His Precious Blood.

      Grace and peace, BC
